Financial
Aid Programs
Lu Ross Academy is accredited by
NACCAS and approved by the US Department
of Education to participate in the
following Title IV Financial Aid programs.
Financial Aid programs are for those
who qualify.
Federal Pell Grant:
The Federal Pell Grant Program provides
a foundation of financial assistance
that may be supplemented by other
resources. Eligibility for Pell Grants
is the first determination made by
the school for students applying for
Financial Aid.
Federal Stafford Loan (FSL):
Formerly the Guaranteed Student Loan
(GSL), this low-interest loan is available
to qualified students through the
lending institutions or agencies participating
in the program and is guaranteed by
the U.S. government.
Direct Lending Program:
The school participates in the subsidized
and unsubsidized Direct Lending Program
directly with the Department of Education.
Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate
Students (FPLUS): The Federal
Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students
(FPLUS) provides additional funds
to help parents pay for educational
expenses.
In addition to the Federal Aid Programs,
there are third party loans available
to qualified students. For students
who do not qualify for federal financial
aid, Lu Ross Academy offers a number
of flexible installment option plans
to fit a student's individual needs.
Lu Ross Academy is approved for Veterans'
benefits programs, California Workers
Compensation, Vocational Rehabilitation
and Workforce Development
Students seeking information regarding
various aid programs available should
contact the Financial Aid Office or
Registrar.
Private Student
Loans
Lu Ross Academy is approved by SLM
Financial (Sallie Mae) to
offer private Student Loans. The tuition
for a program can be spread over 2
to 15 years depending on program length
and loan amount. The Administration
office can assist you in obtaining
a loan if you qualify. Please contact
the Admissions Department at 805-643-5690
