The Lu Ross Professional Makeup Artistry Program is a unique experience created to instill advanced skills, work alongside industry professionals, as well as cultivate a professional attitude to succeed in this fast paced fashion and beauty industry. Students will get the opportunity to participate in photo shoots, fashion shows, and industry events in order to build a diverse portfolio. Aspiring makeup artists not only learn the most current makeup techniques, they learn business essentials and networking. The program will immerse students in the exciting and rewarding career in Makeup Artistry. All makeup artist students will receive an exclusive MAC makeup kit and MAC Pro Student Discount Card.

The Beauty Makeup Artistry course
starts with an overview of makeup art
and thoroughly covers beauty, bridal
and high fashion makeup techniques.
- Introduction to makeup artistry, the
role of the makeup artist, the makeup
kit, sanitation
- Skin and skin care, color principles
and basic lighting for photography, TV
and film
- Straight makeup for women and men,
corrective makeup
- High fashion makeup and introduction
to body makeup.
TV / Film Special Effects Makeup

The TV/Film and Special Effects
course encourages students to think
creatively to design fantasy makeup
and learn the special demands of TV,
film and theatrical makeup. The course
concludes with special effects such as
aging, burns, wounds and character
makeup.
- Body and face painting, basic airbrush
techniques.
- Theatrical / TV / Film makeup
techniques and the demands of each
medium
- Period makeup from ancient Egyptians
to present, studio hairstyling
- Special effects makeup, wounds,
casualty effects and aging techniques.
