Barbering
Course Description
Lu Ross Academy is proud to launch the first Barbering program in Ventura County. The Barbering program emphasizes the importance of hands-on training. We know you will make mistakes – we expect you to make mistakes. That is how people learn – from correcting their mistakes.
When a student encounters any difficulty or is not sure what to do, our talented instructors are there to step in and assist. It’s at that point that the maximum education takes place. We know our system works – that’s why Lu Ross Academy was voted Best Haircut under $20 by the readers of the Ventura County Reporter for three years in a row! Our State Board classes have set the standard in the industry.
We want all our graduates to pass their exam the first time. If you don’t pass the first time, you can attend additional Board classes at no extra charge. We’ll discuss with you how to solve whatever problem you had the first time. The curriculum goes far beyond the State Board requirements. Learn advanced techniques and use your creativity. Barbering students receive additional classes from the Cosmetology Department in hair color, bleaching and hair-cutting. Continuous practical applications, lectures, testing and evaluations are used to meet the course objectives. The goal is to make our Barbering graduates world class professionals who can perform great men’s services as well as women’s.
The Lu Ross Academy Barbering program is located in a newly remodeled building in downtown Ventura which is 2 blocks distance from the main campus. The address of the Barbering School is 93 South Chestnut Street, Ventura, CA 93001.
