Course Description

Lu Ross Academy believes in the importance of hands-on training. And, we know you will make mistakes – we expect you to make mistakes. That is how people learn – from correcting their mistakes.

When a student encounters any difficulty or is not sure what to do, our talented instructors are there to step in and assist. It’s at that point that the maximum education takes place.

We know our system works – that’s why  Lu Ross Academy was voted Best Haircut under $20 by the readers of the Ventura County Reporter for 2010 and 2011!

Our State Board classes have set the standard in the industry. We want all our graduates to pass their exam the first time. If you don’t pass the first time, you can attend additional Board classes at no extra charge. We’ll discuss with you how to solve whatever problem you had the first time.

The curriculum goes far beyond the State Board requirements. Learn advanced techniques and use your creativity.

Cosmetology students receive additional make-up classes and skincare classes offered by instructors from our other programs (Aesthetics and Make-up Artist).
